THE RULES
RULES FOR THE NORTH REMEMBERS

♛ Do not audition for your primary character until after reviewing the articles "Plot" and "Character List".
♛ Do not change your user profile until after the audition for your primary character is marked for approval.
♛ Do not attempt to use roleplaying on The North Remembers as a means of attacking your fellow players.
♛ Do not stray away from the proper etiquette for grammar, spelling, and punctuation as well as capitalization.
♛ Do roleplay from the third person perspective in paragraphs with quotation marks surrounding dialogue.
♛ Do write your posts to be at least 100 words or more to help keep in touch with all the other participants.
♛ Do remain in-character when roleplaying as your primary character, and remember to use two forward slashes before an out-of-character remark.
♛ Do flesh out the storyline of your primary character, and be sure to recall your character's experiences in Westeros or Essos (peaceful or not).
♛ Any form of godmoding will not be permitted; this term either applies to the fact you're dictating the response of another character or that you're controlling the environment around you in a god-like way in order to further your current storyline by means of cheating.
♛ Any form of metagaming will not be permitted; this term applies to the fact you're using external resources—be it in-character or out-of-character—that your character normally wouldn't have access to in order to further your current storyline by means of cheating.
♛ The death of your character will happen sooner or later as it is the game of thrones, be it through natural causes, an act of god, or murder, so if you would like for your character to kill another character and the two of you have reached an agreement on so, please contact **STAFF** first.
♛ If you would like to audition for your secondary character, you would need to have at least 25 posts on your primary character first, or 50 posts with two characters combined to make a third. Then you may be able to do so.
♛ If you are inactive for more than a week on both your primary and secondary characters, you will have your account moved to an inactive usergroup before being politely offered by **STAFF** to keep one of your characters instead. First Application Word: Red Wedding. Post at least once (although more is preferable) a week to keep up with your activity, and plot with your fellow players if things get boring.
♛ Before registering for a cbox account, remember to place your character's first name between parenthesis after your alias (ex. Light (Edric)).
♛ Drama or disrespect of any member on The North Remembers—administrator or not—is an offense punishable by the suspension of your user account following an explicit warning to stand down.
♛ We adhere to the Proboards ToS and therefore we will not allow anything against the rules. Please keep excessive violence out of the thread as appropriate. No sexual scenes should be written on our forums, but should instead 'fade to black'. We want to keep this a safe and fun place for all of our members while respecting the ToS.
